Robert (Bo) Jacobs

Jacobs is a historian of science and technology working on issues related to nuclear technologies. He is a co-founder and a lead researcher on the Global Hibakusha Project, conducting fieldwork in more than 20 radiation affected communities worldwide. He is a Professor Emeritus at the Hiroshima Peace Institute and the Graduate School of Peace Studies of Hiroshima City University. During the 2025-2028 academic years he is also a Visiting Professorial Fellow at the School of Humanities and Languages at the University of New South Wales.
